This week I got to know a little about camera (cannon slr) and all its functions and settings. It was great being able to put theories to practice in our hour out in the uni grounds. Although there was not all that much subject matter to work with, i found by just manipulating the appeture and shutter speed I got some great experimental shots.
I found that by selecting the manual focus and clicking the setting on the top (AV-Appeture) and (TV-Shutter speed) i was able to change the look of the photo quite dramatically. To get a equally exposed photograph i remembered - the larger the apeture the smaller the shutterspeed. So i adjusted the setting accordingly.
I have had some trouble uploading the photos this week as they did not seem to save to the disc i bought. However my favourite shots were ones i took using a very slow shutter speed. I sinply sat down and waited for people to walk pass, as they did i took the photo which created a ghost like effect looking as though their soul was trainling behind them it was great. My favourite shot was a photo i took of someone on a skateboard while i used a slow shutterspeed very interesting.
